432 million adults globally have a disability of hearing loss negatively affecting their lives- from mood, relationships to every day activities. Untreating hearing loss can lead to social, psychological and mental health issues. Hearing loss has been linked to cognitive decline, this can be prevented through use of hearing loss.
Vahishtai Daboo is a mental health practitioner and Principal Consultant for Integrated Services for Listening and Spoke Language and Auditory-Verbal Therapist. The session explored hearing loss as an invisible disability.

This Pandemic has been extremely challenging to mankind, but one good thing that has arisen is that nature has come alive. It's spring and as it is there are changes happening. On June 5th it was World Environment Day and this time, very appropriately, the theme was "Time for Nature". Nature has great powers of healing and we must remember to be Sensitive, Observant, Appreciative, Respectful and to Conserve Resources. The session helps gain insight into flora and fauna around us while developing a hobby that rejuvenates and relaxes us.

With containment come a whole lot of issues-anxiety, panic attacks, sleep deprivation, etc. To ensure that we manage all this and other issues well, Benaifer Sahukar, in the first Jiyo Parsi Friday Forum gave a 7 point to do list. From maintaining an overall balanced routine including healthy eating, exercising, working to realising that nobody knows what tomorrow will bring, and the futility of obsessing over the future. The session helped address many current concerns in the difficult situation that the pandemic has landed us in.
